Yarra Capital Management today announced that it is appointing Michael Gordon to the firm’s parent company Board as Non-Executive Director and Chairman of its Multi-Asset Asset Allocation Committee.
He joins with a long and successful background working for some of the world’s pre-eminent asset managers. Michael is a past Group Executive of Perpetual Investments and began his career with Rothschild before moving to Schroders where he spent approximately nine years in a number of senior roles, including Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of its Australian business.
Michael has also had a distinguished career in international investment markets, including 10 years with Fidelity International in Sydney, Hong Kong and London, where he became CIO, and two years with BNP Paribas Investment Partners as CIO of its Equities division, based in London.
Michael is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and his current directorships include the Hong Kong-based FWD Insurance Ltd. where he is Group Investment Committee Chairman, the listed alternatives manager Blue Sky Alternative Investments Ltd. and the GI Cancer Institute.
